GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED
BRIEF HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF CASOR NIGERIA
THE MAKING OF AN OAK TREE
by Rev. Dr. C. I. Onyenadum

THE BIRTH OF CASOR
It all began at SINKOR CHAPEL, Monrovia Liberia at about 8:40 p.m. (Liberia time) on Thursday 18 March 1971. Note the mentionn of exact date and time. This makes the historical perspective more than authentic. On this memorable night, I was taken up in the spirit during an evening prayer meeting with John Towah, Pastor Wuseye and one other brother whose name I can no longer recall. Note also the mention of specific names to confirm authenticity. I feii into a state of mentally alert and yet experienced things beyound the physical. It was in this state of sub-consciousness that I received my call into the ministry. The detail of the Call is another story yet to be told. It was that night that CASOR was born. CASOR was not founded in Nigeria. CASOR was born in Sinkor Chapel, Monrovia Liberia. The night saw the sowing of the tiny acorn that has blossomed into a gigantic tree.
My orders that night were:
1. To return to Nigeria and begin campus ministry so as to reach Assemblies of God children in the universities and other higher institutions with the gospel and Bible teachings so that they did not derail and depart from the faith after their education. I did derail but was, that night, re-routed. 2. To bring Assemblies of God students to remain loyal to the Church. I was born an Assemblies of God. 3. To evangelize the campus community and win staff and students to Christ. I was an Assemblies of God pastor's child who needed to be saved.
